Immediately following the 2004 release of American Idiot, there was talk of the possibility of a film version of the album in a similar vein to that of Tommy.  Now, it appears HBO has given the film the green light with Billie Joe Armstrong reprising his role of St. Jimmy from the Broadway production.  Green Day’s latest album Revolution Radio will be out tomorrow.
